About the job SENIOR DATA GOVERNANCE PRACTITIONER

JOB DESCRIPTION


  • Review and develop data governance framework, target operating model, data policies and best practices working closely with cross function teams such as DG office, IT, Data, Risk & compliance teams.
  • Advise clients to build or refine their data governance practice across the teams. Drive data governance adoption to different business units. Identifying, assessing, and solving client's business problems with the data driven approach.
  • Advise and supervise efforts related to data classification, data governance, metadata management and lineages, data exploration & profiling, involved in data literacy activities.
  • Work with IT and business stakeholders to align data management initiatives. Support end-to-end data management lifecycle with various system

QUALIFICATIONS


  • Experience in data governance consultancy and setting up DG office.
  • Should have Strong stakeholder management and should be able to influence and drive governance adoption across teams.
  • Experience in Data governance, Data quality, or MDM programs. Strong knowledge of Data Governance Frameworks with overall aspects of Data Quality, Data security and other regulatory requirements
  • Good understanding of one or more Data Governance & Metadata tools (Collibra, Informatica, SAP MDG Governance).
  • Familiarity with data cataloguing, metadata management, and Data lineage. Familiarity with Data compliance standards (GDPR, HIPAA).
  • Good to have knowledge of data security and privacy regulations. Proficiency in SQL, Python and Snowflake. Familiarity with data engineering concepts, ETL pipelines, data modelling, and BI tools (Power Bi or Tableau)
  • Good to have knowledge of cloud governance (Azure Purview, AWS Glue, GCP Data Catalog).
