The Application Engineer – Pre-Order LVS provides Level 3 (advanced) system-level technical support to commercial organizations for low-voltage systems, with a particular focus on low-voltage system assemblies (IEC 61439) or similar, within industrial and data center segments.
What you’ll do:
- Act as the electro-technical systems specialist, building low-voltage system application expertise to support the achievement of segment strategic plans
- Provide Level 3 (advanced) technical support to commercial organizations on low-voltage systems across designated segments
- Liaise with product line management, product application experts, and R&D on codes and standards, providing documented responses to commercial organizations
- Collaborate with commercial teams to prepare responses to RFQs, offering expertise beyond their capabilities in design, quote optimization, and de-risking activities
- Support early-stage design projects and evaluate design proposals
- Develop engineered proposals focused on Eaton’s solutions to optimize customer design outcomes
- Support customer meetings, both virtual and face-to-face.
- Act as the “technical conduit” between commercial organizations and the design and bid teams for low-voltage systems
- Support completion of CDE (compliance, deviation, and exception) project documentation for low-voltage systems
- Provide support for project document control
Qualifications:
- University degree in electrical engineering or equivalent
- 5+ Years working in Low voltage systems engineering
Skills:
- Strong electrical engineering background
- Segment systems based application knowledge with a bias to Data centre's and industrial applications
- Electrical automation and advantage
- IT literate
- Familiar with electrical design tools and software
- Fluent speaking and writing in English
- Good communication and presentation skills
- Self-motivated and takes ownership on results
- Works well within pressurised environment
