Lead, FX Exposure Product Risk & Control
Location: Dubai, UAE
The Lead, FX Exposure Product Risk & Control at World Fuel plays a key role in understanding, monitoring, and communicating the firm’s foreign exchange risk profile. This position provides end‑to‑end visibility into FX exposures—spanning balance sheet positions, trading activities, and operational drivers—while supporting Treasury and Commercial teams in informed hedge execution decisions.
You will own the production and interpretation of core FX exposure reports, analyze P&L volatility, assess Oracle configurations tied to FX, and partner across functions to strengthen accuracy, transparency, and control in our FX exposure landscape.
This role is ideal for someone who combines strong analytical depth, financial systems expertise, and a proactive approach to risk insights.
Key ResponsibilitiesExposure, Reporting & AnalyticsProduce daily FX exposure and P&L reports.
Perform FX P&L attribution, including Spot, Carry, and other key components.
Monitor daily FX exposure levels and identify material variances or unexpected trends.
Support FX exposure forecasting processes and contribute to enhanced forecast accuracy.
Analyze regional and segment sales trends to support currency‑driven forecasting.
Business Partnering & ControlsProvide FX insights, commentary, and education to Commercial, Treasury, and Finance teams.
Assist Accounting with month‑end processes, financial reporting, and disclosures.
Collaborate with the CDP team on supplemental forecasting and reporting enhancements.
Contribute to periodic review and improvement of the FX Exposure Forecasting & Hedging Policy.
Systems, Data & Root‑Cause AnalysisAnalyze general ledger (Oracle) activity to explain variances versus forecast.
Interpret Oracle subledger functions to identify FX exposure drivers and understand FX P&L results.
Maintain working knowledge of derivative FX instruments and market dynamics.
Identify opportunities to improve visibility, process accuracy, and reporting automation.
Education & Experience RequirementsBachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Economics, Management, or related field.
Background in forensic accounting, audit, or a similar analytical discipline within a multinational company.
Treasury experience preferred, but not required.
Specialized knowledge of FX exposures, balance sheet revaluations, and FX derivative products.
Strong working knowledge of Oracle and related financial systems.
Exceptional written and verbal communication skills.
Demonstrated analytical strength, problem‑solving ability, and understanding of end‑to‑end processes.
High attention to detail, intellectual curiosity, and comfort operating independently in a fast‑paced environment.
