Regional Construction Practice - Assistant Vice President
Location:Dubai International Financial Centre (DIFC), Dubai, United Arab Emirates
Marsh is seeking anAssistant Vice President (AVP)to join ourRegional Construction Practicebased in DIFC, Dubai.
This is an exciting opportunity to become part of amultinational and multicultural team of 15 specialistsresponsible for the development, placement, and servicing of construction business across theIMEA region, including Pakistan. The team supports a diverse portfolio spanninginfrastructure, oil, gas, petrochemical, and power projects, working closely with Marsh’s regional organization, extensive retail network, and global hubs to deliver specialist client service, leading product solutions, and access to local markets.
This role is ideal for a motivated professional with1–3 years of experience, or for arecent graduate with a strong interest in construction and insurance, looking to build a long-term career in the insurance industry.
What You Will Do
Client Servicing
Support senior team members, including the VP and SVP, with portfolio management activities.
Build, develop, and maintain strong relationships with key client decision-makers.
Communicate effectively with clients to understand their needs and help provide suitable reinsurance solutions.
Produce high-quality client deliverables, including briefing notes, placement documents, coverage summaries, and RFP responses, ensuring all materials are accurate, complete, and consistent.
Contribute to client and prospect presentations and attend meetings in support of business development initiatives.
Ensure timely and accurate processing of invoices, policy accounting information, quotations, premium calculations, policy wordings, certificates of currency, and related documentation.
Broking and Placement
Assist in the design and placement of reinsurance programs for large and complex projects, includingCAR/EAR, TPL, and other related lines.
Support the collection and comparison of reinsurance terms from reinsurers against client risks.
Help present reinsurance options to clients and support them in making informed decisions.
Liaise with reinsurers to negotiate terms and help secure the best possible coverage for clients.
Ensure all broking activities are carried out in compliance with applicable regulations and company policies.
General Responsibilities

Support strategies to attract new clients and retain existing business.
Stay informed on industry trends, market conditions, and regulatory developments.
Work toward obtaining theACII qualification, if not already held.
What We’re Looking For
Knowledge, Skills, and Experience
Ideally1–3 years of professional experience; however, recent graduates with a strong interest and relevant academic background are encouraged to apply.
Academic background or professional experience inlaw, civil engineering, or related disciplineswill be highly valued.
Strong analytical skills, with the ability to assess risk and evaluate insurance terms.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Proven ability to build and maintain strong interpersonal relationships.
Other Requirements
Self-motivated, highly organized, resourceful, and detail-oriented.
Proficiency inMicrosoft Officeapplications.
Ability to manage multiple priorities and work effectively under pressure.
Able to work independently as well as collaboratively within a team environment.
Willingness and ability to travel across the region when required.
