Job description
• To organize production activities of the small works division to execute joinery works in accordance with the approved design, quality and agreed time in a cost effective manner
Responsibilities:
Functional Roles and Responsibilities
• To prepare a Cutting List, which clearly define the complete measurement such as length, height, breadth etc… based on the final approved drawing.
• Check & allocate timber based on the density, moisture content, appearance and other specification required for the production.
• Allocate the timber based on the cutting list & drawing to the workmen to ensure optimum utilization of the resources such as the manpower, machines and tools.
• Supervise the work regularly, provide on the spot guidance to ensure high quality craftsmanship and keep senior production supervisor posted on the progress of production. Intervene & resolve/change details as and when required to facilitate smooth implementation of installation as per plan
• Guide and motivate subordinates to enhance performance and produce quality work, and ensure that they are continuously developed for higher level roles
Qualifications:
Education/Certification and Continued Education
• Trade apprenticeship or a higher secondary education.
Years of Experience
• 5 – 7 years experience in the joinery industry with up to 2 - 3 years in a supervisory capacity
