Job description
? Scope: Supporting Alfora's UK and UAE offices ? Hours: Full-time ? Package: 8,000 – 12,000 AED/month (based on experience) + pay rise after probation ⚡ Start Date: Immediate
About Alfora
Alfora is a fast-growing sales business operating across the UK and UAE. Our floors run on speed, performance, and tight technology — when systems are sharp, our teams close deals; when they're not, we lose money. That's where you come in.
We're looking for a hands-on, switched-on IT Manager to own our infrastructure across both regions and keep our sales operation running at full pace.
The Role
This isn't a quiet back-office IT job. You'll be embedded in a fast-paced sales environment where uptime is everything. You'll manage, maintain, and improve the systems that power our UK and UAE teams — from individual workstations to dialler platforms to office-wide infrastructure.
You'll be the go-to person when something breaks, the architect when something needs building, and the strategist when we're scaling into new markets.
Key Responsibilities
- Own day-to-day IT operations across our UK and UAE offices
- Manage and maintain Connex AI dialler infrastructure, ensuring sales floors are always live and dialling
- Administer Microsoft 365 / Windows environments — user accounts, permissions, security, licensing
- Handle hardware setup, repair, and lifecycle management (laptops, desktops, headsets, networking kit, phone systems)
- Troubleshoot network, connectivity, VoIP, and software issues quickly and calmly under pressure
- Manage IT onboarding and offboarding as we hire and scale
- Support remote and hybrid users across multiple time zones
- Work with vendors and suppliers across both regions
- Maintain cybersecurity standards, data protection, and backup protocols
- Plan and execute IT upgrades, rollouts, and infrastructure projects as we grow
What You Get
- 8,000 – 12,000 AED/month starting salary based on experience
- Pay rise after successful probation
- Tax-free income
- Hybrid working — on-site a few days a week, flexibility the rest
- Real scope and ownership — you run IT for the business, not a slice of it
- Genuine career progression as we expand across new markets
- Modern Dubai office, ambitious team, fast-moving environment
- Exposure to both UK and UAE operations — great for your CV and your network
Skills
Essential Skills & Experience
- Proven IT support, systems admin, or IT management experience
- Strong working knowledge of Connex AI (or equivalent dialler/contact centre platforms such as CloudCall, Five9, Genesys, MaxContact)
- Solid expertise in Microsoft 365 — Exchange, Teams, SharePoint, OneDrive, Entra ID (Azure AD)
- Strong Windows administration skills (Windows 10/11, basic Windows Server)
- Hands-on hardware troubleshooting and repair experience — laptops, desktops, peripherals, headsets, printers
- Networking fundamentals — routers, switches, firewalls, Wi-Fi, VPNs, VoIP
- Experience supporting sales floors or contact centres where downtime directly impacts revenue
- Calm under pressure and excellent at prioritising urgent issues
- Strong communication skills — able to explain technical issues to non-technical sales staff
- Currently based in Dubai with the ability to be on-site multiple days per week
Highly Desirable
- Experience supporting offices across multiple regions (UK and GCC ideally)
- Familiarity with CRM platforms used in sales environments
- Microsoft certifications (MS-900, MD-102, or equivalent)
- Cybersecurity awareness and basic compliance knowledge (GDPR, data protection)
- Experience with Mac alongside Windows
- Vendor and procurement management experience
Personal Qualities
- Proactive — you fix problems before users notice them
- Calm and methodical under pressure (sales floors don't pause for IT issues)
- Strong sense of ownership — this is your domain
- Excellent communicator who can hold the room with both engineers and salespeople
- Comfortable juggling priorities across two countries and time zones
- Reliable, accountable, and detail-oriented
