Job Purpose
Drive section delivery by reviewing strategic transportation projects and studies, ensuring compliant administration, and aligning activities and KPIs with excellence standards. Strengthen processes and policies. Sustain timely, accurate section outputs that support Transportation Foresight & Planning.
Roles and Responsibilities
Strategy
Coordinate periodic reviews of activities and KPIs to ensure adherence to Dubai Government Excellence Program requirements.
Support in analyzing data and set targets for strategic public transport share KPIs in coordination with concerned agencies.
Support in identifying annual priorities and budgets for transportation infrastructure projects during budgeting cycles in coordination with project-owning departments and based on information from the Projects Portfolio Management Section.
Operations
Develop the DSTM technical manual and provide technical support and training related to the model inside and outside the Authority as needed.
Prepare list of major developers' projects and cost-sharing agreements between the Authority and developers in line with applicable law.
Provide technical support and participate in the review and follow-up of relevant strategic transportation projects and studies, including those of RTA entities and local/external (federal) parties.
Follow section tasks—projects, meetings, minutes, correspondence—ensure accuracy and timeliness, and maintain compliance of administrative processes with regulations and standards.
Product/Process Improvement
Participate in urban planning studies and projects aimed at encouraging mass transport and sustainable and soft mobility modes in coordination with concerned authorities.
Prepare transportation and road studies, legislations, and plans from external parties or concerned institutions.
Follow up the design, development, and update of section-level processes and policies to support effective delivery of Transportation Foresight & Planning activities.
Physical Working Conditions
Primarily office-based role with frequent coordination meetings and workshops involving internal departments and external authorities
Qualifications
·Bachelor’s/Master’s in Transportation Engineering, Urban/Transport Planning, Civil Engineering, Transport Economics, Data Analytics
·3+ years in case of Master’s degree (5+ years in case of Bachelor’s degree)
·PMP/PRINCE2, advanced transport modelling (VISUM/VISSIM/EMME/CUBE), GIS (ArcGIS/QGIS), SQL/Python analytics, DGEP/KPI governance familiarity, stakeholder engagement & technical reporting
