Roles & Responsibilities
Perform Phased Array Ultrasonic Testing (PAUT) on piping, pipelines, welds, and structural components.
Set up and calibrate PAUT equipment using appropriate probes, wedges, and scanners.
Utilize software tools such as NDT Setup Builder and Beam Tool for scan planning and configuration.
Develop and review inspection procedures and techniques in line with project specifications and applicable codes.
Conduct equipment calibration and validation in accordance with standards and procedures.
Interpret and evaluate inspection data, identifying defects and ensuring accurate reporting.
Prepare detailed inspection reports with clear documentation of findings and recommendations.
Ensure all inspection activities comply with international codes, standards, and project requirements.
Support QA/QC teams in inspection planning and execution for piping and pipeline systems.
Maintain strict adherence to HSE requirements during all inspection activities.
Desired Candidate Profile
Minimum 6 years of experience in NDT inspection within oil & gas, refinery, petrochemical, or hydrocarbon projects.
At least 2 years of experience post certification in PAUT.
Valid PCN Level II (or equivalent) certification in PAUT.
Strong experience in piping and pipeline inspection scopes.
Good command of the English language (written and spoken).
Technical Skills:
Strong knowledge of PAUT principles, techniques, and data interpretation.
Proficiency in NDT Setup Builder and Beam Tool software.
Hands-on experience with PAUT equipment, probes, wedges, and scanners.
Good understanding of calibration processes and validation techniques.
Strong knowledge of applicable codes and standards (ASME, API, ISO, etc.).
Ability to develop and review inspection procedures.
Preferred Qualifications:
Previous Gulf / Middle East experience is highly preferred.
Additional NDT certifications (UT, RT, MT, PT) are an advantage.
Experience working on ADNOC or similar projects is a plus.
