Roles & Responsibilities
We are seeking an experienced Resident Engineer for one of our Dubai-based multidisciplinary architecture and engineering clients founded in 2005 to oversee and manage the execution of construction projects, ensuring compliance with approved designs, specifications, contract requirements, authority regulations, quality standards, and project schedules. The successful candidate will act as the primary site representative, coordinating between clients, contractors, consultants, and authorities to ensure successful project delivery.

Desired Candidate Profile
Key Responsibilities
Project Supervision & Site Management
Lead and supervise all on-site construction activities for residential, commercial, mixed-use, and hospitality projects.
Ensure works are executed in accordance with approved drawings, specifications, local authority requirements, and contract documents.
Monitor project progress, quality, safety, and compliance with project schedules.
Review and approve contractor work methodologies, shop drawings, material submittals, and method statements.
Conduct regular site inspections and prepare progress and quality reports.
Contract Administration
Administer construction contracts and monitor contractor performance.
Review contractor claims, variations, extensions of time (EOT), and payment applications.
Verify completed works and recommend interim and final payments.
Coordinate with the Quantity Surveying team on commercial and contractual matters.
Coordination & Stakeholder Management
Act as the primary liaison between the Client, Contractor, Authorities, and client's project team.
Coordinate multidisciplinary teams including architectural, structural, MEP, and specialist consultants.
Chair site progress meetings and issue meeting minutes and action plans.
Resolve technical and construction-related issues promptly.
Quality Assurance & Compliance
Ensure adherence to quality standards, approved materials, and construction best practices.
Review inspection requests, testing reports, and commissioning activities.
Ensure compliance with UAE building regulations, authority requirements, and health & safety standards.
Monitor snagging, de-snagging, and project closeout activities.
Reporting & Documentation
Prepare weekly and monthly project progress reports.
Maintain project records, site instructions, NCRs, RFIs, and correspondence.
Review and verify as-built drawings, operation & maintenance manuals, and handover documentation.
Requirements
Education
Experience
Minimum 12–15 years of experience in construction supervision and project execution.
Minimum 5 years in a Resident Engineer capacity within a consultancy environment.
UAE/GCC project experience is mandatory.
Experience in high-rise, mixed-use, commercial, hospitality, or residential developments preferred.
Technical Skills
Strong knowledge of FIDIC contracts and contract administration.
Thorough understanding of UAE authority regulations and approval processes.
Proficiency in construction supervision, quality management, and project reporting.
Familiarity with AutoCAD, MS Office, and project management software.
Experience coordinating architectural, structural, and MEP disciplines.
Professional Certifications
Membership with a recognized engineering body is preferred.
PMP certification is an advantage.
UAE Society of Engineers registration preferred.
