Strong expertise in SQL Server architecture, performance tuning, and troubleshooting is MUST

Manage and support Microsoft SQL Server (2017/2019/2022/2025) environments is MUST

Hands-on experience with Always On, clustering, and HA/DR solutions is MUST

Work with enterprise patching tools such as Ivanti, SCCM, or equivalent is MUST

Familiarity with Qualys or similar vulnerability management platforms is MUST

Job Purpose

To manage, maintain, and secure Microsoft SQL Server environments across the organization. The role is responsible for database operations, high availability, patch management, compliance, and remediation of vulnerabilities in coordination with internal teams such as Infrastructure and Vulnerability Management (Qualys).

Key Roles & Responsibilities:Database Administration & Operations

Manage and support Microsoft SQL Server (2017/2019/2022/2025) environments Ensure high availability and reliability using Always On Availability Groups and clustering Perform database performance monitoring, tuning, and capacity planning Manage backup, restore, and disaster recovery processes

Security, Compliance & Hardening

Implement database security best practices including TDE and access controls Drive database hardening activities in line with organizational standards Ensure compliance with internal and regulatory security frameworks Review and work with compliance team to finalize and implement baseline security controls for databases

Patch & Vulnerability Management

Coordinate and execute patching activities across database environments Work with enterprise patching tools such as Ivanti, SCCM, or equivalent Maintain and document the patch execution tracker. Collaborate with the Vulnerability Management team to analyze and remediate findings from Qualys reports Track, prioritize, and close security vulnerabilities within defined timelines

Collaboration & Coordination

Work closely with application, infrastructure, and security teams Support change management and release activities Maintain SOPs, documentation, and audit readiness artifacts

On-Call Support

Actively participate in 24x7 on-call rotation, providing support for critical incidents and escalations Ensure timely resolution of production issues and service restoration

Required Qualifications & Skills

4–7 years of experience in MSSQL Database Administration Strong expertise in SQL Server architecture, performance tuning, and troubleshooting Hands-on experience with Always On, clustering, and HA/DR solutions Knowledge of database security, compliance, and hardening practices Experience in enterprise patch management tools (Ivanti, SCCM, etc.) Familiarity with Qualys or similar vulnerability management platforms Strong scripting skills (T-SQL; Power Shell preferred) Good communication and coordination skills

Preferred Qualifications

Experience in large enterprise or banking environments Exposure to regulatory and audit frameworks Knowledge of monitoring, backup, and automation tools
