About the Role:We are hiring a Data Management Specialist to support an upstream oil and gas physical asset management project in Dubai. This is a hands-on, contract role working directly with large volumes of E&P data assets — seismic records, well documents, geological maps, drilling files, and production data — ensuring everything is accurately catalogued, audited, and reconciled. What You Will Do:Manage E&P data libraries — physical documents, media, maps, and archival collections. Sort, label, barcode, and organize physical assets and correlate them with electronic records. Perform detailed physical audits, identify discrepancies, and carry out reconciliation. Register and enter data into inventory and catalogue systems accurately and efficiently. Scan documents, logs, and maps; handle file naming and electronic document workflows. Review contractor-submitted data, validate completeness, and create references in the master catalogue. Maintain audit trails, reconciliation logs, and compliance documentation throughout the project. Follow established SOPs and cataloguing standards without deviation.

What We Are Looking For:Experience in oil and gas E&P data libraries, records management, or archival processes. Knowledge of seismic, well, geological, geophysical, drilling, and production data type. Familiarity with metadata standards and archive and retention policies. Skilled in barcoding, asset tagging, inventory control, and archive organization. Ability to perform audits, discrepancy identification, and reconciliation reporting Proficiency in database-driven inventory or catalogue management systems. Strong data entry accuracy and document registration skills. High attention to detail and ability to handle large volumes of confidential technical data
Nice to Have:Prior project experience with an operator, NOC, or E&P data management service company Familiarity with platforms such as PPDM, Open Wells, Recall, or similar systems. Previous work experience in the Middle East oil and gas sector. Degree or diploma in geoscience, information management, library science, or related field.
