Landscape Engineer

At EFS Facilities Services, we are looking for a technically strong and execution-focused Landscape Engineer to support landscape maintenance, irrigation systems, and horticulture operations across our facilities management operations in Abu Dhabi. This role is critical in ensuring the upkeep, sustainability, and aesthetic standards of landscaped areas in line with client expectations and operational requirements.

Role Overview

The Landscape Engineer will be responsible for managing landscape maintenance activities, ensuring optimal performance of irrigation systems, and maintaining plant health and site aesthetics across assigned operations. The role focuses on supervising maintenance teams, ensuring efficient resource utilization, and delivering high-quality soft services outcomes in line with defined standards and SLAs. This position requires strong technical understanding, on-ground execution capability, and the ability to drive performance across landscape operations.

Key Responsibilities

Manage day-to-day landscape maintenance operations across assigned sites Ensure upkeep of lawns, plants, trees, shrubs, and softscape areas in line with required standards Monitor and maintain irrigation systems, including troubleshooting and optimisation of water usage Supervise landscape teams, contractors, and vendors to ensure efficient service delivery Ensure adherence to horticulture practices, plant care, fertilisation, pruning, and pest control Conduct regular inspections to maintain site aesthetics, health of vegetation, and overall quality Coordinate with procurement teams for required materials, plants, and consumables Ensure compliance with QHSE standards, water management policies, and environmental guidelines Maintain records, reports, schedules, and maintenance logs for landscape operations Support mobilization, audits, and client inspections across landscape services Identify improvement opportunities to enhance sustainability, efficiency, and cost optimisation

What We’re Looking For

3–6 years of experience in landscape maintenance or horticulture within FM, infrastructure, or large-scale developments Strong understanding of irrigation systems, plant care, and landscape maintenance practices Experience managing landscape teams and coordinating site activities Ability to monitor performance, resolve issues, and ensure service quality Knowledge of water efficiency and sustainable landscaping practices is preferred Strong coordination and stakeholder management skills Proactive approach with strong ownership and attention to detail Ability to work in outdoor, site-based environments and manage operational challenges

Educational Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree or Diploma in Landscape Engineering, Horticulture, Agriculture, or related field
