Job Details

Job Purpose Lead the overall planning, execution, control, and handover of assigned projects, including project scheduling, resource planning, cost management, engineering coordination, procurement monitoring, construction execution, stakeholder coordination, and close-out, while ensuring compliance with contractual requirements, QHSE standards, and client satisfaction.
Job Duties Project Management Activities Build and maintain a solid and positive relationship with the client and project stakeholders; promptly resolve occurring issues, secure alignment with various parties, and maintain efficient communication to ensure the highest level of satisfaction. Manage project communication with consultants, clients, subcontractors, vendors, interface contractors, and authorities, securing contract requirements and protecting the Company’s rights and interests accordingly. Review project documents and contract conditions at the tendering phase and provide relevant remarks, observations, and assistance, as well as contribute to preparing the Tender Stage Execution Plan. Prepare the execution phase by defining project scope, plans, schedule, and requirements, and oversee the engineering phase, ensuring timely completion of design documents and related deliverables to support procurement and construction. Set up the project construction plans and methodology, as well as reporting procedures, including productivity and progress reports, cost reports, labor and material reports, site procedures, rules and regulations, and document/drawing control methods and procedures, in accordance with contract requirements and company standards. Obtain all necessary permits, documents, and licenses as per scope of work, interface requirements, and local statutory authorities’ rules and regulations. Identify, request, and ensure proper mobilization, based on the loaded schedule, of all machinery, equipment, and human resources/manpower required to execute the works; coordinate requirements with concerned departments based on the project schedule and available resources in the Area. Secure additional resources as and when needed in full coordination with the Operations Manager, as well as oversee and control the HR/Administration and PMV managers’ activities on site in coordination with Area HR and Area PMV Managers. Select the project team in coordination with the Operations Manager and Operations Director and seek final approval from the Managing Director; define objectives, provide/request training and management support, and continuously evaluate the team’s performance. Oversee and manage the preparation of Procurement and Subcontract Plans based on the project schedule and required deliverables. Manage, monitor, guide, and supervise the project procurement and subcontract functions on site, including project stores, to ensure timely purchase/delivery of temporary and permanent material and execution of subcontracts, as per scope, schedule, and technical requirements. Ensure, in coordination and collaboration with the concerned functional heads, that required performance needs, warranties, guarantees, and insurances are provided as per contract and company requirements. Oversee the execution of the project to ensure that construction activities progress according to the predetermined schedule and budget, while maintaining strict adherence to QHSE standards. Synchronize the efforts of all stakeholders in the project, including but not limited to architects, consultants, contractors, subcontractors, vendors, and internal resources, to ensure that the project works are completed as per client requirements, schedule, milestones, required quality, and within budget. Handle the administration of project contracts; negotiate revisions, changes, and additions to contractual agreements with concerned parties in coordination with the Operations Manager, Operations Director, and Area Contracts Manager, and secure the final approval of the Managing Director, including claims, and resolve occurring disputes. Maintain the project budget; review and validate purchase orders and invoices, negotiate variations with the client in the best interest of the Company to secure project profitability, and ensure timely payment by the client and to vendors/subcontractors with the full coordination and support of both the procurement and accounts department functional heads. Investigate damage, accidents, or delays at the construction site, and ensure that proper corrective action is taken. Ensure that progress payments, progress reports, subcontractor/vendor invoices, cost tracking reports, and project documentation are always checked for correctness and compliance and are submitted on time to concerned parties as per set policies. Stay abreast of new governmental rules, regulations, and restrictions, and always ensure compliance. Lead the project close-out phase by making the project ready to turn over to the client in a timely manner, and ensure relevant documentation is properly archived and handed over, including project records, as-built drawings/documents, maintenance and warranty manuals, deficiencies and warranty documents, and lessons learned as per the contract and Company Group Quality objectives.
Qualifications Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering is a must. Master’s Degree is a plus. Minimum 15 years of relevant experience, including at least 6 years of physical presence on project sites. Project Management Professional Certification is required. Sound knowledge of the EPC industry in Oil & Gas projects. Pipeline construction experience is required. Experience with ADNOC Onshore or ADNOC Gas projects is highly preferred. Excellent command of English and Arabic; French is a plus. Excellent computer skills.
