Role Description This part-time Mechanical Engineer role is a hybrid position based in Dubai, with a mix of on-site work and some work-from-home flexibility. The Mechanical Engineer will support the design, analysis, and optimization of mechanical systems and equipment for educational institutions, training facilities, and related infrastructure. Day-to-day tasks include developing and reviewing mechanical designs, preparing CAD models and technical drawings, performing calculations and simulations, and collaborating with multidisciplinary teams to ensure safety, efficiency, and compliance with local standards. The role involves contributing to small and medium-sized projects, coordinating with project managers on timelines and deliverables, and participating in research and development activities to introduce innovative solutions. The Mechanical Engineer will also assist in documentation, report writing, and providing technical support during installation, testing, and maintenance phases. Qualifications Strong foundation in Mechanical Engineering, with practical experience applying core principles to real-world systems. Proficiency in Machine Design and Computer-Aided Design (CAD) tools for developing detailed models, drawings, and specifications. Experience in Project Management, including planning, task coordination, and meeting project milestones in a multi-stakeholder environment. Research and Development (R&D) skills to evaluate new technologies, improve existing designs, and support innovation initiatives. Bachelor’s degree or higher in Mechanical Engineering or a closely related discipline. Ability to work effectively in a hybrid setting in Dubai, managing both on-site responsibilities and remote tasks. Good communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to present technical information clearly to non-technical stakeholders. Familiarity with relevant standards, safety regulations, and best practices in mechanical systems design; experience with educational or institutional projects is an advantage.
