Job Details

The Scenario Designing Specialist is responsible for leading the modeling works related to identifying, classifying, designing, and developing the scenarios to be modeled/assessed. In addition, the Scenario Designing Specialist supports carrying out the benchmarking exercises on the scenario building exercise and ensuring implementation of the recommendations and improvement areas.
The Scenario Designing Specialist will be responsible for operationalizing the governance framework(s) of the scenario designing and development works and ensure adherence to the same in performing the different tasks and assignments and proposing any modifications to the same to the Management.
The Scenario Designing Specialist will also support the preparation of the response for the requests raised to support the Management in responding to such with the results across the modeled scenarios in coordination with the modeling team.
Key Responsibilities
Contribute to the development and maintenance of the governance framework(s) for the relevant scenario design and development work and suggest modifications and enhancements. Additionally, ensuring that this framework(s) complies with all applicable local, federal, regional, and global requirements. Through entered model data, assist the modeling team in the periodic updates of energy, water, and broader energy models. In coordination with the modeling team, support the development of models/forms for the entered energy, water, and electricity modeling data, as well as the keeping and updating of these models/forms, including a list of information covering updates from various key stakeholders or available sources locally, federally, regionally, and globally. Support the management aspects of the main stakeholders in the areas of scenario design and development work and the final drafting of the entered models' data. Assist in the process of conducting extensive research and collaborating with various institutions to gain a better understanding of the process of developing scenarios and development issues and comparing them to those established elsewhere for the purposes of performance measurement and benchmarking.
Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Energy Engineering, Data Management, or a related field.
Experience Minimum of 3 -5 years of experience in a relevant field (scenario building and designing, data management, energy modeling, etc.).
