Roles & Responsibilities
Operate manual/CNC lathe machines safely and efficiently.
Perform turning, facing, drilling, threading, and other machining operations.
Read and understand engineering drawings, measurements, and specifications.
Set up machines, select proper tools, and adjust machine parameters.
Inspect finished products using measuring instruments such as vernier calipers, micrometers, and gauges.
Maintain accuracy and quality standards during production.
Perform routine machine maintenance and report any issues.
Follow workplace safety procedures and maintain a clean working environment.
Meet production targets and complete jobs within deadlines.
Requirements:
Desired Candidate Profile
- Strong understanding of materials science, enabling informed decisions regarding material selection and usage.
- Certification in Lean Manufacturing or Six Sigma, highlighting a commitment to continuous improvement in fabrication processes.
- Detail-oriented mindset, ensuring that all aspects of fabrication meet rigorous quality and safety standards.
- Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment, fostering positive relationships with colleagues and stakeholders.
- Effective communication skills, both verbal and written, to convey technical information clearly to diverse stakeholders.
