Role Description The ELV Engineer is a full-time, on-site role based in Abu Dhabi. This role involves designing, implementing, and supporting ELV systems including CCTV, access control, fire alarm, public address, and building automation across various projects. Day-to-day tasks include preparing system designs and shop drawings, reviewing project specifications, performing site surveys, and coordinating with project managers, contractors, and vendors to ensure proper installation and commissioning. The ELV Engineer will troubleshoot system issues, conduct testing and quality checks, and ensure all work complies with relevant standards and client requirements. The role also includes documentation, reporting, and participation in project planning to deliver integrated, reliable solutions. Qualifications Strong technical skills in ELV systems, including CCTV, access control, fire alarm, public address, and building automation. Knowledge of ICT infrastructure such as structured cabling, networking, Wi‑Fi, data centers, and telephony. Proficiency in reading and preparing technical drawings, schematics, and documentation (e.g., Auto CAD or similar tools). Experience with system installation, testing, commissioning, and troubleshooting in commercial or industrial environments. Understanding of relevant standards and regulations for safety, security, and building systems. Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Electronics, Telecommunications, or a related field (or equivalent practical experience). Effective communication and coordination abilities for working with multidisciplinary teams and clients. Strong problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines. Previous experience in ELV/ICT integration in the UAE or GCC region is an advantage. Professional certifications in ELV, networking, or project management (e.g., BICSI, CCNA, PMP) are beneficial.
