Job Details

Purpose:

  • Responsible for producing a complete,

accurate, biddable, and buildable set of

plans for all structures within a project.

This should be achieved with the

minimum manpower expenditure.

Summary of the Job Role:

  • Requires strong understanding of design

and construction processes, as well as

knowledge of health and safety

standards.

Authorities:

  • The Civil Engineer has full authority

delegated from the Construction / Site

Manager / Senior Civil Engineer to carry

out all assigned responsibilities.

Desired Candidate Profile

  • Key Outputs: The Civil Engineer is responsible for:

  • Engage effectively with a broad range of stakeholders, including clients, architects, engineering professionals, subcontractors, and the public.

  • Take full responsibility for health and safety on site.

  • Apply sound judgement and problem-solving skills on the job.

  • Supervise construction activities on a daily basis.

  • Manage supply logistics and ensure timely delivery of materials.

  • Prepare and manage construction schedules.

  • Develop and provide clear, practical construction plans.

  • Monitor availability and provision of required materials.

  • Coordinate with foremen, charge hands, and workers in daily operations.

  • Oversee and guide subcontractors’ work to align with project specifications.

  • Ensure high standards of workmanship are maintained.

  • Ensure strict adherence to company QHSE policies and procedures.

  • Coordinate concrete supply from vendors as required.

  • Perform other related duties as assigned by the reporting manager. Relationships: Internal

  • Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree / Diploma in Civil Engineering. Skills/Knowledge:

  • Strong mathematical, scientific, and IT proficiency

  • Ability to clearly explain design ideas and plans

  • Capacity to analyze large data sets and assess potential solutions

  • Confident decision-making capabilities

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills

  • Ability to manage budgets and meet deadlines

  • Effective teamwork and interpersonal skills

  • Thorough knowledge of legal and regulatory requirements in construction

  • Good awareness of the company’s Quality and HSE policies and procedures

  • Strong problem-solving ability

  • Computer literate with working knowledge of Microsoft Office suite (or equivalent) and other job-related project tools.

  • Well awareness on ISO 9001, ISO 14001, and ISO 45001 standards.
