Role Description The IT Compliance Manager is a part-time role based in Sharjah with a hybrid work arrangement, combining on-site presence with some work-from-home flexibility. This role is responsible for developing, implementing, and monitoring IT compliance policies, procedures, and controls to ensure alignment with relevant regulations, industry standards, and internal governance frameworks. Day-to-day tasks include reviewing system configurations, conducting risk assessments, coordinating audits, and maintaining documentation for IT policies, data protection, and security practices. The IT Compliance Manager will work closely with technical support teams to resolve compliance-related issues, provide guidance on troubleshooting and incident response, and support training and awareness initiatives. The role also involves collaborating with leadership to report on compliance status, recommend improvements, and support technology-related aspects of strategic projects. Qualifications Strong foundation in Information Technology, with experience applying IT standards and best practices in organizational environments. Hands-on experience in Technical Support and Troubleshooting to address compliance, security, and system-related issues. Demonstrated Team Leadership and Team Management skills, including coordinating cross-functional stakeholders on compliance initiatives. Knowledge of IT governance, risk management, and regulatory frameworks (e.g., data privacy, information security, and audit requirements). Ability to develop and maintain clear IT policies, procedures, and documentation, with strong written and verbal communication skills. Relevant academic background in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field; professional certifications in IT compliance or security (e.g., CISA, ISO 27001, CISSP) are an advantage. Proven ability to work effectively in a hybrid environment, manage priorities independently, and collaborate with diverse teams. Experience in healthcare or nonprofit settings, and familiarity with entrepreneurship or start-up contexts, is beneficial.
