Role Description The In-Room Dining Supervisor is responsible for overseeing daily in-room dining operations to ensure timely, accurate, and high-quality service for guests. This full-time, on-site role is based in Sharjah and involves coordinating order taking, food preparation liaison with the kitchen, and delivery, while maintaining brand standards and hygiene requirements. The supervisor leads and schedules the in-room dining team, provides coaching and feedback, and supports training to ensure consistent service excellence. The role also includes managing guest requests and complaints, monitoring inventory and equipment, and working closely with other hotel departments to support a seamless overall guest experience. Administrative tasks such as report preparation, shift handovers, and compliance with safety and quality procedures are also part of the daily responsibilities.
Qualifications
Experience in in-room dining, restaurant, or food & beverage service, preferably within a hotel or resort environment. Strong supervisory skills, including team leadership, scheduling, and performance oversight. Excellent guest service and communication skills with the ability to handle requests and resolve issues professionally. Good organizational and time-management abilities to manage multiple orders and priorities efficiently. Knowledge of food safety, hygiene standards, and basic health and safety procedures. Proficiency in basic computer systems and point-of-sale (POS) operations used in hospitality. Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays, as required by hotel operations. Previous experience in the Middle East or international hospitality settings is an advantage. Relevant diploma or certification in hospitality, hotel management, or a related field is preferred.
