Role Overview

We are hiring a smart and capable Accountant to manage day-to-day accounting operations and VAT filing for a general trading company operating in the FMCG sector. The candidate must have relevant UAE accounting experience and a strong understanding of UAE VAT compliance.

Key Responsibilities

• Maintain general ledger, accounts payable, accounts receivable, and bank reconciliations.

• Handle day-to-day accounting transactions and maintain accurate financial records.

• Prepare and maintain financial reports and supporting schedules.

• Prepare and file UAE VAT returns in compliance with applicable regulations.

• Reconcile VAT accounts and ensure proper documentation for VAT filing.

• Coordinate with internal teams, suppliers, and customers regarding accounting matters.

• Assist with month-end closing and audit-related requirements.

• Ensure timely and accurate recording of FMCG trading transactions.

Qualifications & Skills

• Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.

• Overall 3–5 years of accounting experience.

• Minimum 1–2 years of relevant accounting experience in the UAE.

• Experience with UAE VAT and VAT filing is mandatory.

• Experience in a general trading company, preferably within the FMCG sector, is mandatory.

• Strong knowledge of accounting principles and financial reporting.

• Good knowledge of MS Excel and accounting/ERP software.

• Good English communication and interpersonal skills.

• Smart, proactive, detail-oriented, and able to work independently.

Preferred Candidate

Candidates currently based in the UAE with relevant UAE accounting experience will be preferred. Immediate joiners are preferred.
