Job Details

  • Develop and implement comprehensive HSE strategies aligned with corporate objectives and regulatory frameworks, ensuring a proactive safety culture across all operations.
  • Lead and manage the HSE department, fostering a high-performing team dedicated to achieving zero harm and continuous improvement in safety performance.
  • Oversee the establishment and maintenance of robust risk management systems, including hazard identification, risk assessment, and the implementation of effective control measures.
  • Drive the development and execution of emergency preparedness and response plans, conducting regular drills and reviews to ensure organizational readiness.
  • Champion incident investigation processes, ensuring thorough root cause analysis and the implementation of corrective and preventive actions to avoid recurrence.
  • Manage compliance with all relevant national and international HSE legislation, standards, and best practices, staying abreast of evolving regulatory landscapes.
  • Develop and deliver engaging HSE training programs tailored to different employee levels, promoting awareness, competence, and adherence to safety protocols.
  • Conduct regular HSE audits and inspections of facilities and operations, identifying non-compliance issues and recommending actionable improvements.
  • Collaborate with senior management and stakeholders to integrate HSE considerations into business decision-making, promoting a sustainable and responsible approach.
  • Monitor and report on key HSE performance indicators (KPIs) to executive leadership, providing insights and recommendations for strategic adjustments.

Desired Candidate Profile

  • Bachelor's degree in Occupational Health and Safety, Environmental Science, Engineering, or a related field; Master's degree preferred.
  • Possession of internationally recognized HSE certifications such as CSP, CIH, NEBOSH International Diploma, or equivalent.
  • Minimum of 8-10 years of progressive experience in HSE management within a corporate or complex industrial setting.
  • Proven track record of developing and implementing successful HSE management systems (e.g., ISO 45001, ISO .
  • Demonstrated expertise in risk assessment methodologies, incident investigation techniques, and safety auditing.
  • Proficiency in relevant HSE software and data analysis tools for performance tracking and reporting.
  • Exceptional leadership and communication skills, with the ability to influence and engage diverse stakeholders at all levels.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, with a strategic mindset for proactive HSE management.
  • Fluency in English; knowledge of additional languages relevant to company operations is a plus.
  • Adaptability to travel as required and ability to perform under pressure in dynamic environments.
