Job description
The Senior Engineer (AI Engineer) is accountable for accelerating and governing the adoption of AI across Mashreq Digital's engineering practice, including building, rolling-out and maintaining the tooling, standards and controls that allow squads to deliver software with AI assistance safely, consistently and cost-effectively.
This is a hands-on engineering role. The job holder will be a practicing software engineer with depth in either frontend or backend, and applies their engineer knowledge to AI-assisted development. They work with Principal Engineers, reporting to the Digital Engineering Chapter Lead, to ensure the AI practice is aligned with the engineering standards across Retail Banking Group.
The selected candidate will be responsible for the following areas:
- As a practicing engineer first and foremost, write, review and ships production code, and earns credibility with the squads they support
- Owns the operational health of AI engineering: adoption, output quality, token and license consumption, and cost per unit of delivery
- Documents trains & runs enablement, so good practice is scaled rapidly

يتولى كبير المهندسين (مهندس الذكاء الاصطناعي) مسؤولية تسريع وحوكمة تبني الذكاء الاصطناعي عبر الممارسات الهندسية في المشرق الرقمي، بما في ذلك بناء وطرح وصيانة الأدوات والمعايير والضوابط التي تتيح للفرق تقديم البرمجيات بمساعدة الذكاء الاصطناعي بأمان واتساق وبكفاءة من حيث التكلفة.
هذا دور هندسي عملي. سيكون شاغل الوظيفة مهندس برمجيات ممارسًا يتملك خبرة عميقة إما في الواجهة الأمامية (frontend) أو الواجهة الخلفية (backend)، ويطبق معرفته الهندسية في التطوير المعتمد على الذكاء الاصطناعي. ويعمل مع كبار المهندسين (Principal Engineers)، ويرفع تقاريره إلى رئيس قسم الهندسة الرقمية (Digital Engineering Chapter Lead)، لضمان توافق ممارسات الذكاء الاصطناعي مع المعايير الهندسية عبر مجموعة الخدمات المصرفية للأفراد.
سيكون المرشح المختار مسؤولاً عن المجالات التالية:
- بصفته مهندسًا ممارسًا بالدرجة الأولى، يقوم بكتابة ومراجعة ونشر كود الإنتاج، ويكتسب المصداقية لدى الفرق التي يدعمها
- يتولى مسؤولية السلامة التشغيلية لهندسة الذكاء الاصطناعي: معدل التبني، جودة المخرجات، استهلاك الرموز (tokens) والتراخيص، والتكلفة لكل وحدة تسليم
- يقوم بالتوثيق والتدريب وإدارة برامج التمكين، لضمان التوسع السريع في تطبيق الممارسات الجيدة
