Job description
We are looking for an experienced Senior Planning Engineer to join a leading fit-out contractor in Dubai, delivering high-quality commercial, hospitality, residential, and retail projects.
The ideal candidate will have a strong background in interior fit-out, excellent Primavera P6 skills, and a proven track record of planning and controlling fast-track construction projects from pre-construction through to handover.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop, manage, and update detailed project programmes using Primavera P6.
- Monitor project progress against baseline schedules, identify delays, and implement recovery plans.
- Coordinate design, procurement, material approvals, and site activities to ensure timely project delivery.
- Prepare weekly and monthly progress reports, look-ahead programmes, critical path analysis, and progress forecasts.
- Work closely with project managers, site teams, subcontractors, and suppliers to drive programme performance.
- Identify programme risks and proactively develop mitigation strategies.
- Support delay analysis, extension-of-time submissions, and contractual programme reporting.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field.
- Minimum 8–10 years of planning experience within the construction industry.
- Strong experience with an interior fit-out contractor, preferably in the UAE.
- Advanced proficiency in Primavera P6 and a solid understanding of critical path methodology.
- Proven experience delivering fast-track fit-out projects, including commercial, hospitality, or residential developments.
- Strong knowledge of procurement schedules, design coordination, construction sequencing, and project controls.
- Excellent communication, analytical, and stakeholder management skills.
