As a Sustainability Manager, you will be responsible for assisting in the development and driving the implementation of sustainability projects and action plans to support the sustainability strategy.
Accountabilities
- Development and implementation of projects to decarbonize Etihad’s operations, either through the reduction of emissions or other methods to reduce the environmental impact of Etihad’s operations
- Development and implementation of appropriate projects to encourage waste management practices in accordance with the waste management strategy and its supporting action plans
- Assisting in the development of appropriate metrics against which to measure project performance over time
- Assisting in the development of internal communication tools and managing and updating these on a regular basis
- Coordination of internal awareness programmes and forums
- Assisting with communication with external stakeholders and supporting efforts to promote Etihad as a thought leader in sustainability
- Assistance and support on environmental matters to the Head/ Senior Manager of Sustainability
- Maintaining awareness and subject matter expertise related to industry trends and continuous development of sustainability related reporting and initiatives
- Maintaining familiarity with industry frameworks, regulations and standards
Education & Experience
- Bachelor's degree (Preferably in the field of sustainability, or an aviation-linked discipline)
- Overall, 5-years of experience with at least 2-3 years of experience in driving and project managing sustainability/change/strategic projects, preferably within Aviation/Transportation/Energy domain.
- Experience within a commercial, regulated entity
- Should have strong project management experience and innovative mindset
- Able to collaborate and engage with wider stakeholder network including internal and external authorities/industry partners etc
