Leadership Responsibilities
1.
Provide overall direction for the effective achievement of functional objectives through effective leadership and by setting of individual objectives, managing performance, developing and motivating team to maximize performance.
2.
Mentor, coach, motivate and challenge the direct reports, providing opportunities for growth and development and enhance their internal capabilities.
3.
Assign tasks and responsibilities to make informed decisions and take prompt actions when necessary.
4.
Allocate work to direct reports, nominate for training as per the bank’s guidelines, conduct performance reviews and manage leave and overtime to ensure efficiency.
5.
Manager direct reports in their day-to-day tasks and guide them in managing their performance by providing appropriate feedback and counseling.
6.
Provide recommendations for hiring and promotions of department staff.
7.
Ensure team member has attended their training courses and they are evaluated by their Line Manager to measure the effectiveness of the training program.
Operational Responsibilities
1.
Review HR policies and procedures as per the directives of the Chief Human Resources Officer; review memos before circulating to all employees, informing them of any changes in policies/procedures.
2.
Operate the HR management system in compliance with the HR policies and procedures.
3.
Develop and review HR letters based on staff requests, ensuring that they are developed in a timely fashion.
4.
Develop and review reports on employee leave balances and records of consumed employee leaves, ensuring all leaves have been approved and processed as per policies and procedures; notify the Chief Human Resources Officer and the concerned management of any issues pertaining to employee leaves.
5.
Review monthly attendance records to all concerned management.
