Role Summary:This role will lead DMCC’s marketing efforts in China and Asian markets, with full responsibility for developing strategic plans, driving digital innovation, and ensuring brand positioning aligns with business growth goals. The role requires significant experience in navigating the Chinese media landscape, building C-level relationships, and identifying scalable marketing opportunities across platforms, partnerships, and demand generation.
Manage and implement marketing campaigns and programs in liaison with the Marketing, Event and PR leads, with a strong emphasis on digital marketing.
Build and maintain relationships with key stakeholders, suppliers, including government and high-profile delegations. Work closely with the Integrated Marketing Team (Content, Events, Analytics, Channels) as well as Marketing leads for business verticals and suppliers to deliver annual marketing plans and provide closed loop reporting on marketing ROI. The Lead Officer – Asia Markets will be a strategic thinker with a proven track record in developing and executing successful marketing campaigns, with a focus on digital marketing. The ideal candidate will have excellent relationship building skills and experience working with cross functional teams. Strong analytical skills and the ability to provide closed loop reporting on marketing ROI are also essential for this role.
Key Responsibilities:Manage marketing strategies and campaigns to ensure campaigns are successful and strategies are understood and actionable. Managing marketing goals to ensure they are aligned with business expectorations. Oversee and support budgets to ensure spend is on track along with reporting of campaign spend and performance. Establish relationships with Marketing Leads, departments to unify marketing throughout the organization. Annual and quarterly marketing strategy documents. Research reports and market insights, especially for China. End-to-end campaign briefs and execution plans. Campaign performance dashboards and post-mortems. Optimization action plans based on campaign data. Marketing automation strategies and workflows (e.g., lead nurturing, email journeys). Scalable campaign templates and digital playbooks. CRM integrations and usage of analytics tools (e.g., Hub Spot, Salesforce). Training programs and upskilling sessions for the team. Regular reporting dashboards (conversion funnel, lifecycle stage analysis). Joint go-to-market plans and campaign calendars. Alignment meetings and feedback sessions with Commercial teams. Shared KPIs and campaign objectives. Sales enablement content and collateral. Quarterly reviews linking marketing performance to business outcomes.
Qualifications:5+ years of senior marketing experience with a strong focus on China. Proven success in leading cross-border campaigns and teams. In-depth understanding of Chinese platforms (WeChat, Weibo, Douyin, Baidu SEM, RED/Xiaohongshu). Fluent in Mandarin; native or near-native. Experience driving value for the client through efficiencies or marketing innovation Experience with process improvement and Marketing process execution Prior experience in a fast paced, continually changing client environment
