The Department of Languages and Culture at Ajman University invites applications for 2 full-time Lecturer positions in English beginning Spring 2026. The successful candidates will join a dynamic academic team dedicated to excellence in teaching, innovation in language education, and student success.

Qualifications And Requirements

A Master’s degree (MA) in English Language, Applied Linguistics, TESOL, or English for Specific Purposes (ESP). Native or near-native proficiency in English. Demonstrated teaching experience, preferably in General English, Academic English, or ESP courses. Strong command of learner-centered and technology-enhanced teaching methodologies. Excellent communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills.

Key Responsibilities

Teach undergraduate courses such as Writing, Public Speaking, , General English, or English for Specific Purposes, as assigned by the department. Design and deliver engaging classes and instructional materials aligned with course learning outcomes. Assess and evaluate student performance objectively, providing timely and constructive feedback. Contribute to curriculum and syllabus development, ensuring alignment with program objectives and accreditation standards. Prepare and submit ICARs (Instructor Course Assessment Reports), CARs (Course Assessment Reports), and other required documentation in accordance with university policies. Maintain accurate records of student attendance, grades, and academic progress. Participate in departmental meetings, committees, and college events. Support departmental and college initiatives Ensure compliance with Ajman University’s academic quality assurance and accreditation requirements. Engage in continuous professional development and contribute to a collegial and innovative academic environment.
