Roles & Responsibilities
- Construct and erect formwork systems (shuttering) for concrete structures, ensuring precise alignment and dimensional accuracy, using detailed blueprints and technical drawings.
- Assemble and dismantle shuttering components, including timber, plywood, steel, and proprietary systems, with a focus on safety and efficiency.
- Precisely measure, cut, shape, and fasten wooden or metal materials using hand and power tools, demonstrating expertise in various cutting and joining techniques.
- Install and secure formwork to support the weight of wet concrete, employing techniques to prevent leaks and ensure structural integrity.
Desired Candidate Profile
- High school diploma or equivalent, demonstrating a basic understanding of mathematics and construction principles.
- Relevant vocational training or apprenticeship in carpentry or shuttering, providing foundational knowledge of construction techniques.
- Possession of a valid trade certificate or license for shuttering carpentry, showcasing formal recognition of skills and expertise.
- Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in shuttering carpentry, demonstrating practical application of skills in various construction projects.
