Roles & Responsibilities
Operate and control the Continuous Casting Machine (CCM) from the pulpit/control room to ensure safe and efficient production.
Monitor casting parameters, machine performance, and process alarms through HMI/SCADA systems and take corrective actions when required.
Coordinate with Mold Operators, Field Operators, and Shift Supervisors to maintain uninterrupted casting operations.
Ensure billet quality by controlling casting speed, mold level, cooling parameters, and other critical process variables.
Maintain production records, report operational abnormalities, and ensure compliance with safety and quality standards.
Desired Candidate Profile
12th/ITI/Diploma in Mechanical, Electrical, Metallurgical, or related discipline.
3–5 years of experience as a CCM Pulpit/Control Room Operator in a steel manufacturing plant.
Knowledge of CCM process control, PLC/SCADA systems, and billet casting operations.
Ability to analyze process parameters and troubleshoot operational issues.
Willingness to work in rotational shifts and a fast-paced production environment.
