Roles & Responsibilities
Key Responsibilities
Review contract documents, drawings, specifications, BOQs, and related commercial requirements.
Prepare quantity take-offs and cost estimates for Mechanical, Electrical, Plumbing, Fire Fighting, and ELV systems.
Support tendering, procurement, subcontractor evaluation, and comparison of commercial submissions.
Assist in preparing project budgets and tracking actual costs against approved budgets.
Measure completed works and prepare monthly payment applications / interim valuations.
Review subcontractor payment applications and verify quantities and supporting documents.
Prepare and support submission of variations, change orders, and claim supporting documents.
Maintain records of site instructions, variation logs, payment status, and commercial correspondence.
Assist in monitoring project costs, forecasts, and commercial performance.
Prepare monthly QS / commercial reports for project management review.
Coordinate with project, procurement, planning, engineering, finance, and subcontractor teams.
Support final account preparation and settlement with clients and subcontractors.
Ensure compliance with contractual requirements and company procedures.
Qualifications & Experience
Bachelor's Degree or Diploma in Quantity Surveying, Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Construction Management, or related field.
Minimum 5 years of UAE experience as an MEP Quantity Surveyor / QS Engineer with an MEP contractor.
Strong knowledge of MEP systems, quantity surveying principles, cost control, and basic contract administration.
Good understanding of UAE construction practices; familiarity with FIDIC contracts is preferred.
Proficient in Microsoft Excel, AutoCAD, and quantity take-off tools; experience with CostX, PlanSwift, Bluebeam, Candy, or similar software is an advantage.
