The Role We are seeking an experienced Admissions Counselor / Education Advisor to guide prospective students and families throughout the admissions and enrollment journey. This part-time remote opportunity is ideal for a personable and organized professional who can assess student needs, recommend suitable educational options, explain admissions requirements, coordinate applications, and maintain strong communication from initial inquiry through enrollment. Key Responsibilities Conduct consultations with students and parents to understand academic backgrounds, interests, goals, preferences, and requirements. Advise students on suitable schools, universities, courses, programs, and educational pathways. Explain admission criteria, application procedures, deadlines, tuition structures, documentation requirements, and available options. Guide students through application preparation, document collection, submission, interviews, offers, and enrollment. Review application materials for completeness, accuracy, and alignment with relevant requirements. Maintain consistent communication with prospective students and families throughout the admissions process. Respond professionally to inquiries through email, phone, video calls, messaging platforms, and other communication channels. Track leads, consultations, applications, follow-ups, admission decisions, and enrollment progress using CRM or admissions systems. Coordinate with schools, universities, admissions departments, education providers, and internal teams. Support students with application forms, personal statements, interview preparation, and other admissions materials where appropriate. Maintain accurate and confidential student records, application documents, and communication histories. Monitor admissions deadlines, program updates, entry requirements, and changes in education policies. Provide management with feedback on student needs, market trends, applicant concerns, and service improvements. Support webinars, information sessions, virtual open days, education fairs, and student engagement activities. Ensure all educational guidance and communications are accurate, ethical, professional, and student-focused. Requirements Bachelor’s degree or equivalent qualification in Education, Business, Communications, Psychology, Counseling, or a related discipline is preferred.3+ years of professional experience in admissions, education consulting, academic advising, student services, counseling, or a related role is preferred. Strong understanding of admissions processes, education pathways, and student-support practices. Excellent communication, active-listening, presentation, and interpersonal skills. Ability to establish trust and maintain professional relationships with students, parents, and institutional partners. Strong organizational and follow-up skills with excellent attention to detail. Experience using CRM systems, admissions platforms, Microsoft Office, Google Workspace, and digital communication tools. Ability to explain complex academic and admissions information clearly and confidently. Strong problem-solving skills and ability to manage multiple applications and deadlines. High level of professionalism, confidentiality, integrity, and cultural awareness. Ability to work independently and effectively with international students and distributed teams.
