Hiring: Management Accountant / Financial Accountant / Accounts & Finance Manager for Dubai Office

i9 SoftTech is a digital solutions and consulting company based in Al Nahda 2, Dubai. The company was established by the founder and CEO of i9 Education Australia. i9 SoftTech provides dedicated technology and management support to i9 Education Australia.
Position Overview
The Management Accountant will be based at i9 SoftTech in Dubai and will work in support of i9 Education Australia. The role is responsible for day-to-day accounting, financial operations, payroll, reconciliations, taxation, compliance and management reporting of the Australian company. It is a full-time, on-site position. Experience with Australian accounting and taxation requirements is preferred.
Accounting-Focused Role:
Candidates should have qualifications and practical experience primarily in accounting. General qualifications in business, commerce or finance, including MBA or MCom, will not be considered for this position.
The Package:
- Salary (all-inclusive): AED 10,000 to 15,000 (negotiable depending on qualifications and experience)
- Health Insurance: as per UAE/Dubai regulations
- Working days: 5 days a week (Saturday and Sunday off)
- Working hours: 8 hours per day, including a 30-minute break
- Timings: 5:00 AM to 1:00 PM (to align with Australian business hours)
Applicant Location:
Candidates must currently reside in the UAE and hold a valid UAE residence visa. Willingness to relocate closer to the office will be an advantage.
Skills
Key Responsibilities
Accounting Operations
- Manage invoices, income, accounts payable, accounts receivable and payments across multiple entities
- Reconcile bank accounts, credit cards, employee expenses, loans, assets, leases, insurance, collections, rent and rates
- Work with internal and external stakeholders to maintain financial accuracy and compliance
- Use accounting software and ERP solutions, preferably MYOB Acumatica, to maintain accurate financial records and support day-to-day accounting operations.
Payroll
- Oversee payroll processing, employee entitlements and payroll reporting for a large workforce
- Guide staff on relevant payroll and financial processes and legislative requirements
Financial Reporting
- Prepare weekly, monthly, quarterly and annual financial and management reports
- Prepare profit and loss statements, budgets, operational analysis and financial summaries for management and tax agents
- Present financial progress and status reports in required management meetings
Australian Accounting and Taxation Experience (Preferred)
- GST reporting, reconciliation and ATO compliance
- PAYG and payroll tax obligations
- Superannuation processing and compliance
- Single Touch Payroll (STP) requirements
- End-of-Financial-Year (EOFY) processes and reporting
- WorkCover obligations
- Preparation of financial information for Australian tax agents
Qualifications and Experience
Education:
- CA or ACCA (Preferred)
- CPA or CMA (Considered)
- Degree in Accounting or Accounting & Finance (Accepted)
Experience:
- Minimum 5 years' relevant accounting experience
- Strong working knowledge of accounting software and ERP solutions, preferably MYOB Acumatica
- Experience with Australian accounting and taxation system is preferred
