DHL Legal Services offers all business partners worldwide solution-oriented legal advice. We provide comprehensive support in contracts, negotiations, and processes with customers and suppliers as well as in general litigation and commercial law matters.

Job Purpose:

• To lead and manage the legal team, ensuring effective risk management, providing strategic advice, and fostering collaboration within the DHL Legal Community to support key corporate priorities and achieve targets within the legal framework."

Your tasks:

• Partnering with the business to take ownership and accountability for a broad range of complex matters of significant strategic and/or financial value, driving projects to execution – identifying risk and escalating where appropriate (recommending mitigation strategies and implementing solutions).
• Leading and managing the legal aspects of the business’ M&A transactions in the MENAT region with several already in the planning stages.
• Proactively progressing matters to a conclusion through efficient and effective planning and management to meet the business’ demands.
• Assisting VP Head of Legal MEA in implementing and improving processes and developing standards for the team in order to maintain engagement with commercial stakeholders and providing focused, accurate, effective and timely legal and policy advice, to enable the business to function and to meet and manage its objectives.
• Keeping the Regional Office Directors informed about important issues and able to present clearly and precisely, enabling others to understand the key facts and issues
• Staying up to date with legal developments and key business information.
• Being aware of the marketplaces and the business’ position within it.
• Developing expertise in areas of specialism and taking personal ownership for pro-active business partnering

Your profile:

• 20+ years of relevant experience in corporate law, commercial law, and/or M&A transactions.
• In-depth knowledge of corporate governance, contract law, and relevant legal regulations in the MENAT region.
• Strong project management skills, with the ability to drive projects to execution and meet business demands.
• Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to articulate complex legal issues clearly and build relationships with stakeholders at all levels.
• Proactive and solution-oriented mindset, with the ability to identify risks, propose mitigation strategies, and implement practical solutions.
• Strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
• Fluency in English
