Functional Area: Health, Safety, Environment & Fire

Purpose of Job

• Participates in the development and direction of Health, Safety and Environment Management Programmes in the Plant.
• Participates, monitors and evaluates the Plant’s various departments’ compliances with HSE Management System requirements, Control procedures and ADNOC code of practices; provides advisory services to all departments.
• Participates in Hazard identification and risk assessments of new projects design and plant modifications to identify hazards and recommends remedial actions.
• Develops and monitors compliance of the Personnel Protective Program of the plant. Develops HSE training programmes for competency assurance.
• Coordinates, advises and follows up on company HSE Management System implementation.

Minimum Job Requirements

• B.Sc. in Science, Chemical Engineering or equivalent.
• A professional qualification in HSE is preferable.
• 9 years’ experience in various aspects of Safety and Environment, preferably in an oil refinery or petrochemical plant, of which at least 4 years should have been in a supervisory level.
• UAE Driving License is an advantage.
• Computer Software knowledge and experience, including knowledge of MS Office Software
• Strong presentation and communication skills.
• Knowledgeable about international industries fire & safety rules and regulations.
• Able to demonstrate professional skills in managing his activities within own section.
• Very good knowledge of English, both written and spoken.
• Knowledge of Arabic is preferable.
