An exciting opportunity has been arisen for a
Guest Service Executive - Front Office at Jumeirah Zabeel Saray. The main duties and responsibilities of this role
- Help guests check in and out smoothly and assist with pre-registration and extended stay requests.
- Welcome and assist guests upon arrival and departure, providing orientation to facilities.
- Manage group bookings, following standard procedures.
- Stay informed about all aspects of the facilities, products, and services and provide personalized service to guests and frequent travelers.
- Assist guests in person or by phone with bookings and inquiries.
- Handle payments via cash, credit, or debit cards and minimize rebates, ensuring proper justification and documentation.
- Conduct credit checks to ensure sufficient credit for in-house rooms.
- Secure advance payment guarantees at check-in.
- Perform cashiering duties like foreign currency exchange and paid outs.
- Maintain guest privacy by not disclosing any guest details.
- Manage traces in Opera for arrivals and departures.
- Assign rooms courteously and instruct bell desk to escort guests.
- Provide information on transport, dining, and sightseeing and update departure timelines and inform relevant departments.
- Know room and suite rates and be familiar with different currencies.
- Support Guest Relations, Concierge, and Club Executive Lounge as needed.
- Balance individual cashier audits at the end of each shift.
- Maintain and balance the cash float.
- Assist guests as needed, based on safety guidelines.
- Anticipate and address guest needs.
- Handle complaints promptly and seek guest feedback.
About you:
The ideal candidate for this position will have the following experience and qualifications:
- Previous experience in a similar role within the hospitality industry.
- A degree or diploma in Hospitality Management, Tourism, or a related field is preferred.
- Experience with hotel management software, such as Opera, is highly desirable.
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
- Strong customer service skills with a friendly and courteous demeanor.
- Ability to handle multiple tasks and work under pressure.
- Proficiency in using computer systems and office software (e.g., MS Office).
- Familiarity with health, safety, and environmental procedures.
- High level of professionalism and grooming.
- Proficiency in one or more additional languages desired (e.g., Spanish, French, Mandarin, Arabic, German).
