Job Purpose

Primary responsibility involves facilitating the efficient and secure loading and unloading of cargo onto/from aircraft and trucks. Critical role in ensuring cargo warehouse management, proper stowage, adhering to weight and balance guidelines, and strictly following safety procedures is paramount. Assist customers and deliver exceptional customer services. Additionally, contributing to overall flight punctuality and operational success is achieved through coordination with cargo team members and adherence to established protocols. The attention to detail, commitment to safety, and ability to work in a dynamic environment are essential qualities for ensuring the smooth functioning of cargo operations.

• Greet, assist, and guide customers at cargo terminal.
• Loading and offloading of cargo from the trucks.
• Build Up and Breakdown of cargo ULD.
• Support internal stakeholders as and when required, post instructions from
  
  
  

supervisor.

• Loading and Unloading of Cargo to/from aircrafts at ramp.
• Identify and store different types of cargo in designated areas within cargo warehouse.
• Ensure that all safety procedures and working practices are strictly followed,
  
  
  

including the cleanliness of cargo terminal.

• Complete any other official task as instructed by the supervisor.
• Initiating and implementing and follow up necessary corrective actions.
• Follow SOPs and work instructions issued by airlines, airport, and Cargo.
• Reporting of Cargo Discrepancy.
• Completion of task within set timeframe.
• Take proactive initiatives to learn new skills and avoid involvement in unlawful practices.

Qualifications

Qualifications, Experience, & Skills

Educational Qualifications

• English and Arabic skills are an advantage.
• Role demands physical fitness and the capacity to lift and handle weights effectively. The ability to lift and carry moderate to heavy weights is a fundamental requirement for this role to ensure the safe and efficient loading and unloading of items onto/from aircraft.
• High School pass preferred.
  
  
  

Professional Qualifications

• Ability to learn things fast and implement them.
• A valid UAE driving licence is recommended.
  
  
  

Experience

Required Experience

Preferred 01-02 Years Of Experience Cargo/Logistics Handling.

All staff has the following safety responsibilities and is accountable to their supervisor(s) and Head of Department:

• To comply with the relevant safety requirements and procedures outlined in the Cargo Service Manual and Safety Management System and any other instructions or notices issued by Ras Al Khaimah International Airport.
• To comply with the safety requirements detailed within their training.
• To advise their Head of Department and the Airport Duty Officer team of any safety occurrence or system failure and to identify and report any situation of potential risk or concern affecting safety via one of the following means.
• Report directly to the Safety Department or an immediate supervisor.
• Submitting an Accident/ Incident Report.
• Support safety audits as and investigations as they occur.
