JOB PURPOSE
Drive sales and promote Michelin products in defined area to achieve individual sales target set for the year and contribute to team targets as well as consequently to annual business unit revenue targets and high customer satisfaction.
Accountabilities
· Sales: Conduct regular field visits, understand customer’s requirements and asses customer’s current situation like fleet size, ageing vehicles & types of vehicles currently operated to establish product need, availability, credit requirement and payment position. Discuss technical specifications in relation to product performance, suitability, and usage/application to key customers from time to time to ensure selling product attributes are in line with the principal’s guideline.
· Operations: Maintain active customer profile database to ensure all relevant details are up to date when required by accurate collection of customer information. Prepare relevant documentation to ensure the deals are closed as per company guidelines and policies. Coordinate with the concerned department member to order the stock in a timely manner.
· Tyre Testing: Effectively deploy tyre testing process with end-user in order to increase the potential for future sales. Identify vendors for testing project, assess potential to determine overall project scope and potential annual saving opportunity and negotiate special prices upon approval.
· Claims Management: Review warranty claims (within the authority), approve or rejects (claims above the policy limits or outside of the warranty period) to ensure alignment with set warranty policies, processes and to maximize customer satisfaction. Send consolidated monthly reports to line manager for necessary review.
· Market Analysis: Conduct market intelligence, prospection to monitor competitors’ products, pricing and promotional activities versus CME - Michelin. Submit analysis, findings and recommendations to the line manager for further decisions to be taken.
· Customer Relationship & Satisfaction: Ensure customers remain abreast with product, technology changes/modifications, are adequately trained in order to specify products themselves and services by type of use. Build lasting relationships with customers to explore and develop new business opportunities.
Job Specific Information
· Account Manager will be closely working with the Sales Manager handling various defined accounts to sell Michelin product category of passenger cars, commercial vehicle including tyres for GHQ/military vehicle and earth movers, prepare technical report and presentation to big fleet customer.
QUALIFICATIONS, EXPERIENCE, COMPETENCIES Qualification
· Diploma in Business, Marketing or equivalent.
· Bachelor's Degree in Business or equivalent is preferred.
Experience
· 5 years of minimum experience sales & account management with automotive/engineering parts; out of which 2 years should be on Managerial level.
· Experience in tyre sales is a must.
