Functional Area: Refinery Maintenance (Mechanical, Electrical, Control & Workshop)
Purpose of Job
- Provides specialized technical guidance and support in control maintenance department for engineering, troubleshooting and failure analysis of a wide range of instrumentation and associated control systems, such as ESD, BMS, PLCs, CCC, MCM, TGS, CTM, MOV systems, Turbine Controls, Marine Systems (MLA / VRU /Ship Mooring Systems etc), related network systems, Field Instrumentation, Control Valves, shutdown valves, Flare Instruments etc.
- Reviews and participates in the design and development of related projects.
- Prepares scope of work / statement of requirements for new improvement projects.
- Participates in technical bid evaluations.
- Assesses the reliability of critical control packages and makes recommendations for enhancement.
- Evaluates and recommends enhancement of system reliability. Initiates and follows up with Vendors / Manufacturers for getting the right material on time to ensure the equipment availability.
- Ensure full Compliance to all HSE related requirements. Participates in the preparation of annual budgets and five-year plans.
- Participates in review of control related Company DGS and facilities in various internal and external audits activities.
Minimum Job Requirements
- B. Sc. in Instrumentation or Electronics engineering
- 8 years of experience in maintenance, troubleshooting and installation of a wide range of instrumentation and microprocessor based advanced control systems in an oil/gas, petrochemical industry and/or power generation plant
- The job incumbent should possess a great deal of knowledge in control systems of his area and other systems installed at Company such as microprocessor based advanced control systems, DCS & ESD (Preferably Yokogawa Systems), PLC, MCM, CCC and smart field instruments critical equipment and prime movers control and protection.
- On-going knowledge update in instrumentation and control systems to catch on the fast modernization and avoid obsolescence surprises, and ensure systems availability/reliability.
