Synopsis
To continually analyse commercial schedule requirements and crew resource availability to optimise crew resources in a productive and cost-efficient manner at both a strategic and tactical level. Based on detailed analysis and 'what if' modelling, recommend optimum crew movements & crew pairing solutions and identify opportunities for cost avoidance and cost saving.
Accountabilities
- Determine crew operational headcount requirement based on published operating schedule by Network planning.
- Evaluate, optimize and disseminate the impact of schedule changes published on a periodic basis.
- Produce legal pairings in accordance to the Flight time Limitations, GCAA rules and Company policies by construction crew duties & schedules published in the operating plan.
- Maintaining headcount within Budget provision and cost control. Any deviation to Budget to be highlighted with necessary recommendation to Executive management.
- Crew trip route analysis and proposals are analyzed to ensure Crew legalities and Flight time limitation and alternatives in schedules are advised as and when required.
- Ensure availability of adequate qualified flying crew to meet the requirements of the operation, considering all aspects of manpower planning calculations.
Education & Experience
- Must hold a minimum of Bachelor’s degree, advanced education in mathematics and statistics is key.
- Minimum 2 years of experience working at an airline crew resources or operations teams.
- Must have worked in manpower planning/pairings optimization/ analysis role in aviation or operations.
- Must have advanced Excel knowledge.
- Must have FTL knowledge.
