Synopsis
The Project Officer will serve primarily as Interior Designer/Draftsman and Project Coordinator for minor projects (less than Aed3 Million project value) and shall contribute and support from strategic phase to pre-construction and construction delivery stages of the Department’s CAPEX projects’ life cycle. Interpret the Business needs into a quantifiable design that can be translated and be continued to all other phases of the delivery, including tender and construction as per Etihad’s brand and standard. Coordinate the project execution with all stakeholders, including directly with the Project Manager, in Etihad fit-out projects.
Accountabilities
- Responsible for the collation of all stakeholders' requirements, project information such as end-user design briefing, needs analysis and spatial requirements
- Managing Architectural and Interior Design for minor projects analysis, incorporating business needs, strategic engineering requirements, aligned to Cost Plan, Project Strategies and pre-statutory approvals requirements review.
- Creating design concept and design development documents/drawings for minor projects and coordinate with project delivery team, Business/end-user for approval or comments.
- Includes management and interpretation of the Business Needs as per the established design guideline.
- Provide support in RFP/RFQ technical documents preparation, including, production of drawings, site survey and records, during pre-tender, construction, and post construction stages.
- Respond to allocated projects’ design and technical related RFI’s during project tender.
- Manage, planning, organizing and directing project delivery of outstation offices project, including coordinating the same to the Project Manager and all internal resources
- Provide general technical project coordination support, to project delivery team, including managing all the receipt of incoming technical submissions, technical review and maintaining of log register, during the construction life cycle of all Department’s construction projects
- Office Support and Ad hoc duties as required to assist the project team including quantity take-off to project managers for initial costing.
Education & Experience
- Bachelor’s degree in architecture or interior design.
- 7 years minimum experience in similar role.
- Post holder able to demonstrate sound knowledge of Architecture & Interior design and ability to manage allocated project(s) and personnel, gained over a period of not less than 8 years in desktop and site works
- High computer literacy in design related software, Autocad, 3d Max, Indesign, Sketchup, Photoshop, MS Office, Basic Business & project management skills
