DHL Global Forwarding has an opening for a China Trade Development Director in Dubai. In this position the successful candidate will develop overall sales priorities/targets (volume/price) and a business plan for the assigned trade lane(s), addressing budget gaps to actuals monthly. Growing Overseas BC controlled opportunities by leveraging the network sales team. Hunting and leading key BC customers within the assigned trade lane. Steering the local sales force by identifying opportunities. Launching and managing sales campaigns and driving volume/density initiatives on assigned trade lane(s). The incumbent will gather customer and market information to update the product and trade lane on the current conditions. He / She will also be providing input for annual trade lane budgeting and act as a consultant and subject matter expert to sales. Interfacing with the sales team on focus lanes (provide input on strategic relevance of the customer which is related to the must-wins)

In this China Trade Development Director position
- You will lead – Ensuring both Outgoing & Incoming leads for assigned Trade Lane for Opportunity pipeline growth.
- You will manage the pipeline size and hit ratio on assigned trade lane(s)
- You will plan both virtual & physical - CST/Roadshows to China and acts as enabler for overseas Sales trip / Roadshow to assigned trade lane.
- You will ensure that bilateral agreed Targets are aligned on assigned trade lanes to enable HIT rates and business growth.
- You will prepare monthly reporting/monitoring/root cause analysis of trade lane performance.
- You will lead like a Key Account Manager for the BC Network Controlled Accounts in China and support implementation, SOP’s, exception management and regular reviews.
- You will Lead the Bilateral Calls engagement platform at IBDM & SMT level and engage all stakeholders.
- You will provide selling tools for assigned lanes such as benchmarking and selling kit for sales.
- You will leverage the X BU platform to build Network Business

- A good understanding of the global forwarding industry and knowledge on DGF products (AFR/OFR) and business models; experience with customers & trade lanes
- Be fluent in Mandarin.
- Can work independently and drive customized solutions/address individual needs from external and internal customers.
- Have strong networking skills with people from different cultures, languages & levels within the organization.
- Have conceptual thinking and analytical skills.
- Can gather and analyze complex data.
- Be proficient and equipped with virtual connectivity tools and software.
- Have strong customer management experience.
- Has well-developed communication and presentation skills.
- Has advanced PowerPoint presentation skills and an enabler to interface with multiple stakeholders to design customer centric solutions.
