Role Purpose
- To adapt and co-ordinate the implementation of the DSC Regional Security & BCM polices and standards within the respective country.
- Deliver fundamental Security & BCM objectives of protection of people, physical & customer assets, sensitive internal information and public reputation.
- Reduce risk exposure with the implementation of unified DHL Security & BCM standards by risk classification and audits across specific country.
- Responsible for management and Security & BCM Team leadership at country level.
Key Tasks
- Develop/implement country Security & BCM standards, policies and Security & BCM Programs in line with regional standards and the DHL and Global frameworks.
- Manage/review/investigate Security & BCM related incidents within area of responsibility and report metrics / trends and root causes to line & management.
- Ensure roll out in country of risk assessment, audit and training programmes.
- Ensure hollistic view of costs and costs transparent to business and maintain budgets and Loss & Recovery statements.
- Ensure customer value through optimized Security & BCM performance.
Accountabilities
- Achieving DPDHL Security & BCM standards and co-operation of DSC country management for their successful roll-out.
- Reduced losses and security incidents and security related claims.
- Security & BCM risk levels and gaps identified and corrective action progress reported.
- Cost efficiency and resource optimization.
- Positive customer feedback and Security / BCM seen as business differentiator.
Responsibilities
Customer
- External - Manage customer complaints with regards to security incidents and BCM concerns.
- External - Assist / advise local customers on Security & BCM issues and measures.
- Internal - Provide Security & BCM advice/assistance to country sales and business management.
- Internal - Provide support to regional Security & BCM management and local Nominees/Champions.
- Internal - Provide monthly metrics on Security & BCM events, programs and projects to management
Stakeholder
- External - Develop relationship with law enforcement and legal and regulatory bodies.
- Internal - Develop and maintain relationships with site management and operations personnel in the area of Security & BCM
- Internal - Develop relationship with country management, in order to promote Security & BCM as added value.
- Internal - Develop relationships with other BU security management and Regional, Global teams.
- Internal - Relations with sales organisation.
Process
- Security & BCM documented; develop and implement Processes & Procedures; maintain programs integrity across cluster.
- Risk classification, assessment and audit programme active for the country.
- Security & BCM awareness and Security & BCM training programmes implemented.
- Security incident reporting, investigation and trending initiated.
- Process in place for implementation of Security & BCM standards with sub-contractors and any new projects.
- Assist on installation / procurement of any technical security equipment for upgrade of new builds.
- Develop and maintain Evacuation Plans for the Cluster. Train and maintain awareness with plan participants
People – Management
- Ensure team understand Security & BCM policies and procedures, including those pertaining to Evacuation planning
- Ensure team are aware of the strategy, direction and priorities of the department.
- Ensure of the continous development of team members (if applicable).
- Support Region and/or Cluster Head of Security & BCM on specific and project requirements and IKO completion.
- Develop, maintain and support country Security Nominees / BCM Champions roles.
Now, here’s what we need from you.
Requirements for the Job
- Preference for 1 year minimum experience in division.
- 3-5 years experience in multi-country security management, with a minimum of 1-2 years in logistics field.
- Preference for minimum 2 years within SUPPLY CHAIN, LOGISTICS or TRANSPORTATION Security (within the Oil & Gas industry preferred)
- Preference of at least 1 year experience/knowledge in-country / region
Education / Qualification / Certification Requirements
- Relevant academic qualifications (BA/BSc level or higher) in Security, Criminology, Risk Management/Analysis, Business Continuity, other relevant subject
- Relevant certification in Security as a result of courses from professional bodies (Oil & Gas industry preferred)
- BCM Certification from a recognised industry body such as CBCI, BTEC or equivalent highly an advantage
