Charterhouse is working with an established offshore Oil & Gas Company who are looking to hire an experienced Environmental Engineer to ensure project activities align with their client environmental standards.

About the role
The Environmental Engineer is responsible to evaluate environmental conditions, and promote environmental awareness within the subcontractor HSE team. This role also includes overseeing the proper handling and disposal of waste materials generated during the project.

In addition, the role will also involve developing procedures for controlling air and noise pollution, protecting water resources, and managing site reinstatement. The Environmental Engineer will also implement measures for pollution incidents and ensure compliance with national regulations.

About you
The successful candidate must hold a Bachelor’s degree in Environmental Engineering or Environmental Science, along with 4-6 years’ experience and at least 3 years of experience in managing and implementing Environmental aspects in projects/operations/ production.

The ideal candidate should have a strong understanding of environmental issues and practices in Oil & Gas operations/EPC, along with knowledge of HSE management systems and environmental regulations. To be suitable for this role, the candidate must be skilled in developing environmental management plans, conducting monitoring, audits and inspections, along with leading training on environmental procedures. Excellent communication skills English, both verbal and written is required for this role.
