KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES:

• Supervises the activities of assigned employees in the Electrical Maintenance unit to ensure work objectives and programs are implemented.
• Responsible for the development of preventive and routine maintenance schedules and procedures.
• Monitors breakdown and maintenance developments and makes recommendations for change or modifications of any part of schedules or procedures and ensures that work is carried out with minimum of disruption to operating activities.
• Plans work schedules according to malfunctions or breakdowns, establishes work priorities in consultation with operations personnel and determines requirements in advance for tools, spare parts and manpower. Prepares and follow-up related work programme and budget.
• Supervises routine and non-routine maintenance and repair of electrical equipments and installations onshore and offshore facilities, cathodic protection systems and HVAC on Arzanah Island, Satah Offshore, Wellhead Platforms and PMP. Supervises the installation, testing and commissioning of new equipment / plant and trouble shoot problems as they arise.
• Reviews and updates on regular basis, stocks of spares parts, tools and materials, forwarding requisitions to Abu Dhabi and Zirku warehouses, initiates all materials and spare parts requisitions.
• Provides technical advice on electrical power and distribution systems; including suggesting modifications to systems and assisting in the design of new installations as required.
• Ensures that all details of maintenance and repair work are entered into the maintenance log, outlining the fault, work carried out and the time, labour and materials used. Issue and close work orders, DMAR. Submits monthly work progress reports.
• Prepares and presents detailed reports on the causes of major breakdowns on electrical plant, and submits recommendations for the prevention of similar occurrences.
• Ensures that the company’s HSE regulations are adhered, particularly with regard to the isolation of electrical equipment. Ensures compliance with electrical work permit procedures.
• Prepares and follow-up on annual program and budget.
• Supervise HVAC Technicians to ensure optimum conditions to equipment.
• Review stock and critical items and initiate order as required.
