- Lead supplier sourcing, evaluation, and selection processes.
- Manage supplier relationships, negotiate agreements, and monitor performance for continuous improvement.
- Develop strategies to mitigate supply chain risks and support new product initiatives.
- Drive process improvements and leverage technology to enhance procurement efficiency and reduce costs.
- Generate and present supplier performance metrics, manage corrective actions, and lead time reduction initiatives.
- Assist with projects as assigned.
Skills
- Extensive knowledge of the aluminum industry, including domestic and international markets.
- Proficiency in commodities and derivative transactions.
- Strong organizational, analytical, and negotiation skills.
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel, and Project.
- Experience with ERP/MRP systems is beneficial.
- Bachelor's Degree from a four-year accredited institution.
- 5-8+ years of experience in a Supply Chain or Procurement role related to aluminum.
- Background in purchasing within a manufacturing or engineered product environment.
- Experience with global supply chain initiatives and strategic planning.
