Job Purpose & Scope\t 

Undertake  in general maintenance and testing of fire-fighting and safety equipment and associated appliances, as well as confirm operability of equipment (Weekly, monthly, Quarterly, Half yearly and Yearly frequencies) as per the Maximo oriented program.

Principal Accountabilities\t 

• Fire hydrants: Exercise the main valve, greasing & lock pin & the gate valves A , B clean and check the washer quality overall, check body and basement any corrosion noticed. Confirm total operability of the Fire hydrant. Record finding in inspection list. Follow-up the request for repair or replace any part. Half yearly inspection frequency. Area covering ACPT1/2, CC, and Satellites..
• Fire Extinguishers: inspection frequency . Covering ACPT1/2, CC, WHPT and Satellites.Quarterly inspection: Visual inspection and cylinder status, head cap assemble status, hose & nozzle status, Cleaning and punching inspection tag, findings record in inspection list. Annual Inspection, collect due date extinguishers from the site for third party inspection at Abu Dhabi overhaul maintenance replacement of extinguishing agent, spare parts, hydrostatic test and painting. And confirm all operability of the extinguishers and inventory control.  
• Foam units: Covering ACPT1/2, CC, WHPT and Satellites. Inspection frequency Quarterly. Visual inspection, foam level fire hose, foam nozzle, body status, foam inductor. Cleaning the whole unit with soap liquid and fresh water, clean the protective cover, drying and replace hose and nozzle. Record keeping., Annual Foam concentrate to be drained for cleaning inner part of foam container tank, painting the carrier frame, replenish with sample tested foam, replace the hose and nozzle after pressure test
• BA & Escape sets Located: Covering ACPT1/2, CC, WHPT and Satellites. Inspection frequency weekly. Visual inspection, cylinder pressure, accessories inspection. Operation test. Record in site inspection card. Annual
• inspection. Prepare and send for Hydrostatic test of cylinder if tis due and overhaul maintenance of accessories by third party at Abu Dhabi. Maintain SCBA’s, Escape sets. Perform checks as per manufacturer’s instructions and ensure records of service, testing and certification is maintained
• Fire hose reel: Inspection frequency Quarterly . Covering ACPT1/2, CC, WHPT and Satellites. Visual inspection, extend the hose & unit operation checking parts corrosion, checking nozzle, hose, elbow, body. Replace if any and record keeping .
• Fire Cabinets: . Inspection frequency Quarterly. Covering ACPT1/2, CC, WHPT and Satellites. Visual inspection, outer shell body, door & hinges, Equipment status, equipment list availability. Cleaning and replace all equipment., record keeping
• Fixed Foam/Water Monitor and foam tank: Inspection frequency quarterly. Covering all ACPT1/2, CC, WHPT and Satellites. Visual inspection, foam hose, body status, main valve exercise, monitor elevation exercise, cleaning, greasing, foam suction hose open and check the flow of foam, foam tank cover open & exercise and foam level check, lubrication the hinges and record keeping. foam circulation and 3 year prepare for foam tank (preventive maintenance) clean, NDT inspection repair and sand blasting painting record and return to location.
• Fire Blanket: . Inspection frequency Quarterly covering ACPT1/2, CC, WHPT and Satellites Visual inspection, body and hinges status, blanket status, replace the blanket after cleaning & record keeping .
• Assist Fire safety technician to Carry out the sequence test of electrical and diesel fire pumps .
• Assist Fire safety technician Carry out the fire water network system isolation and normalizing in the time of block valves and main fire hydrant valves replacement and corroded spool replacement..
• Handling of waste management at ACPT1/2, CC, WHPT and Satellites.
• Support fire team while actual emergencies; SCBA and full cylinder supply to site according to the requirement, Firefighting equipment supply to site. Recovery the used SCBA, recharge prepare for further use.
• Assist Fire safety technician to do life boat sea trail.
• Assist Fire safety technician to do the weekly,monthly,yearly check and test for life boat equipment and fill the log book.
• Assist Fire safety technician on attending the inspecting of fire and safety equipment in ACPT1/2, CC, WHPT and Satellites.
