Key Responsibilities:
1. Electrical Construction & Installation
* Supervise installation of electrical systems such as LV/MV switchgear, transformers, MCCs, UPS, battery banks, distribution boards, grounding/earthing systems, lighting, small power, and cable containment.
* Ensure electrical works are executed as per ADNOC Codes, IEC, IEEE, NEC, and project technical specifications.
* Review and verify cable routing, cable laying, glanding & termination, cable tray installation, and field equipment mounting.
* Monitor installation of motors, VFDs, control panels, junction boxes, and other electrical components.
* Ensure proper implementation of earthing, bonding, cathodic protection interfaces, and lightning protection systems.
2. Drawings, Documentation & Technical Control
* Review IFC drawings, shop drawings, method statements, risk assessments, and ITPs for compliance.
* Raise technical queries (TQs) for design clarifications.
* Ensure all materials comply with ADNOC-approved vendor lists and specifications.
* Maintain accurate site documentation including daily progress reports, site inspection reports, red-marked drawings, and as-built details.
3. Testing & Commissioning
* Supervise pre-commissioning and commissioning activities such as:
* Cable IR & continuity tests
* Functional tests of switchgear/MCC
* Transformer testing (ratio, insulation)
* Earthing resistance tests
* Loop checking & point-to-point testing
Coordinate with commissioning team, OEMs, and QA/QC for compliance with ADNOC completion criteria.
4. Coordination & Supervision
* Manage daily activities of electricians, technicians, and subcontractors.
* Coordinate with Civil, Mechanical, Instrumentation teams to resolve site conflicts.
* Conduct toolbox talks and ensure adherence to ADNOC HSE policies.
* Ensure all site works are carried out with PTW (Permit to Work) compliance.
5. Quality & HSE Compliance
* Ensure construction activities meet ADNOC quality requirements.
* Enforce strict implementation of HSE procedures, including LOTO, electrical safety standards, and hazard identification.
* Participate in HSE audits, inspections, and incident investigations.
Qualifications & Requirements:
* Diploma / Degree in Electrical Engineering.
* 8–12 years of experience in electrical construction for Oil & Gas / EPC projects.
* Minimum 3–5 years experience in ADNOC onshore projects preferred.
-Strong knowledge of:
* ADNOC standards & specifications
* IEC, IEEE, NEC codes
* Electrical installation & commissioning procedures
* PTW and site permit systems
Ability to manage manpower, plan daily activities, and resolve technical issues at site.
