From sunrise swims to serene spa moments, our resort embodies understated elegance, and we are building a team that reflects the same thoughtful care, intuitive service, and deep attention to detail.The Role As a Room Service Order Taker, you will be the central point of contact between guests and the In-Room Dining team, ensuring every order is handled with warmth, precision, and efficiency. You will play a vital role in creating a seamless dining experience by coordinating guest requests, communicating with kitchen and service teams, and maintaining an exceptional standard of accuracy, courtesy, and discretion.Key Responsibilities Receive and process all In-Room Dining orders through phone or digital platforms with accuracy and professionalism. Provide detailed menu knowledge, upsell specials or premium offerings, and accommodate guest dietary requirements or preferences. Record orders in the POS system promptly and coordinate with kitchen and service teams to ensure timely preparation and delivery. Confirm and follow up on all guest requests to guarantee satisfaction and service recovery where needed. Maintain clear communication between the kitchen, service team, and other departments for special arrangements. Monitor order timing and ensure all trays and trolleys are cleared promptly from guest rooms and corridors. Handle guest complaints or feedback with empathy, efficiency, and professionalism. Maintain cleanliness and organization of the order-taking area, ensuring all communication logs and checklists are updated. Support training and service briefings as required, embodying brand and Forbes standards in every interaction.Qualifications & Experience Minimum 1-2 years of experience in Room Service, F&B service, or a related guest-contact role in a 5-star luxury hotel or resort. Exceptional telephone etiquette and guest-service skills. Strong knowledge of food & beverage service standards and menu terminology. Proficiency in Opera PMS and POS systems (Micros / Simphony) preferred. Fluent in English; additional languages such as Arabic or Russian are an advantage. Excellent communication, multitasking, and coordination skills. Impeccable grooming, professional demeanor, and a guest-centric mindset.
