Duties and Responsibilities.
- Apply latest technology to improve operations in own work areas.
- Apply methods and techniques to manage dangerous goods as well as the time and temperature sensitive cargo.
- Identify relevant cargo for transfer operations.
- Operate communications equipment and radio channels.
- Operate mechanical lifting equipment.
- Operate technology or electronic tools and devices.
- Perform activities to improve quality of logistics services.
- Perform basic risk assessment.
- Perform cargo or material handling security procedures.
- Perform maintenance of facilities, equipment, infrastructure and systems.
- Perform operations within resource and cost allocation.
- Perform safety and health risk assessment.
- Perform Workplace Safety and Health (WSH) activities to ensure personal compliance with requirements.
- Prepare cargo for transfer operations.
- Report WSH incidents.
- Suggest WSH solutions to address localised shortcomings in existing processes.
- Support the department in incident or crisis management initiatives.
- Use cargo lifting and rigging equipment.
- Work with team members to support technology projects.
